Give me a Break

Diggers are back next door.  The ability to concentrate with all that noise is virtually ‘kin impossible.  Really pleased the owner of next door decided to have a house built in the garden, and the local council in their infinite wisdom decided to grant permission to do so.  So quiet at the moment. Thank you owner, thank you council

Makes the thought of getting one of these very attractive.

Give me a Break

You can actually feel the vibrations from the digger.  Months now this has been going on.  Had the hottest summer since 1976 last year and I had to shut the window because of the noise and dust pollution.  Had enough of it now, almost non stop noise and dust for months.  Yes I objected to the plans before they were agreed, but it seems the local council have no concern over how these things affect others.

Some plans today have been postponed because they need quiet to do them, my “office” is a converted bedroom, not a soundproofed room.

On top of that there is no information if this is just today, or going to be all week.  Great so how do you make plans around the unknown.  Ok so I can play the classic rock station to drown out some of the noise,  but I can’t open the window on a rare sunny day, so have to put up with getting hotter and hotter.  Definitely hot under the collar.  Reminds me of another of those sayings that we come across over the years.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to properly hide the bodies of the people I had to kill because they really pissed me off.

Rant over.  I guess my relaxing evening could well be taken up with stuff I couldn’t do today.  Great.

So what do you think about this post?  I would love to hear your views. just comment below

All The Best.
