So we’ve (finally) reached the concluding part of this mini-series.  Suggestions below are purely optional and each of you should deal with individual circumstances as you see fit.  You have the right to choose.

How to deal with people who are easily offended

If you’re like me, then you’re sick and tired of everyone being so easily offended all the time. But they’re everywhere! So how do you deal with it?  Being no stranger to controversy, I’ve put 2 options to the suggested way to handle these people.

Ignore them.

It’s really the best thing you can do, but it’s also the hardest. This is especially true if someone is just ignorant about a subject and that’s why they’re offended. You may want to educate them, but usually, that’ll only result in a big argument.

Avoid commenting on controversial topics.

Everyone has an opinion nowadays and we’re all entitled to it. However, if you want to post that opinion on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and expect everyone to be happy about it, you’ve got another thing coming.

It’s perfectly fine to have your own thoughts and beliefs, but broadcasting it for everyone to see and comment on is only asking for trouble.

Don’t argue with them.

I know it seems tempting, believe me, but you shouldn’t give in to their arguments. People who are so easily offended by something often aren’t well-educated in the manner. Therefore, arguing would actually just be pointless. You wouldn’t get anywhere because they don’t want to listen to reason. They just want to be right.

Dealing with people who are easily offended can be very frustrated. The first step in learning to ignore them is first understanding why they are the way they are.

That’s what you should do anyway.

If you wish to have a quiet life without confrontation, follow the above suggestions.  However a lot of the time it can be a lot of fun pouring fuel on their fire.

What I would do.

Why is Everyone So Easily Offended These Days? (part 4)Ignore them?

Where’s the fun in that?  Educate them in their futile overreaction.

If you’re a bit bored and wondering what to do, this is a great way to pass some time.  They’ve already wound themselves up so it’s pretty easy to escalate their level.  Be aware though, you will cop an earful or a screenful.  Been there, seen it done it, bought the t-shirt.

I wouldn’t suggest what I would do though unless you are at an advanced level of taking the p*ss.

So what do you think about this post?  I would love to hear your views. just comment below

All The Best.
